Benzie's wool blend felt in Toast, a buttery light brown, perfect for felt baguettes in play picnic lunches. Select cut sheets or yardage-multiples of 1/2 yard cuts will yield one uncut sheet. Our bolts are approximately 36" wide. Full bolts are 40% off the retail price of cut sheets. Inventory on full bolts is limited, please contact us for availability.

Coordinating DMC six strand embroidery floss and Sulky applique thread is also available.

About our Felt

Our felt is a blend of 20-35% wool with the rest rayon; approximately 1mm thick. Our wool is only from merino sheep, prized for their quality and softness and making Benzie's felt strong, resistant to pilling, and colors vibrant.

don't wash

The color selection is amazing but I was hoping I could use the wool blend felt sheets to make a quiet book for a toddler. A quiet book needs to be able to be washed (think toddler/mouth/drool). Somewhere I read someone suggested washing it first so I did a test wash (cold water, hang dry). It shrank alot unfortunately. So I was very disappointed. However if you don't wash, the felt sheets are great for something else, just not what I was hoping for. I am attaching a photo of before/after wash. I also ironed the washed felt to get it to lay somewhat flat again.

You are right! Wool felt will shrink (just like your favorite wool sweater!) -and you will see the textured look just like what you show. Great color for variety of projects

This color is great for dolls, teddy bears, cookies, pizza crust, etc. I always keep this one on hand.
